Just last month I medically retired from a 12 year career as a deputy sheriff. I was forced to medically retire due to a work-related injury that occurred in 2005. Thankfully, this injury has not affected my ability to do the mental work necessary in a related field. With the assistance of vocational counseling, I am exploring other career opportunities related to my previous career law enforcement.
